Abstract
The widespread use of smartphones and other handheld devices has led to the emergence of Text Neck Syndrome, a condition characterized by neck pain and discomfort caused by prolonged and excessive forward head posture. This thesis aims to investigate the level of awareness among select senior nursing students of the University of Batangas regarding Text Neck Syndrome. The study is important as nursing students are future healthcare providers who will play a significant role in promoting healthy habits and preventing diseases. Therefore, it is crucial to assess their level of awareness regarding Text Neck Syndrome and its preventive measures to ensure that they can provide accurate information to their future patients. The researchers utilized purposive sampling, a non-probability sampling design, and a survey in Google Forms to gather data from each respondent. The researchers made use of the frequency and percentage distribution to determine the awareness of the select senior nursing students when it comes to the Text-Neck Syndrome. The analyzed data revealed that most senior nursing students experience the common symptoms associated with the Text Neck Syndrome and that they practice behaviors that may increase the risk of developing the syndrome. Moreover, more than half of the select senior nursing students were aware of the Text Neck Syndrome. This study Will contribute to the growing body of knowledge on Text Neck Syndrome and its impact on health, particularly among the nursing students of the University of Batangas
