Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in nursing education provides opportunities for innovation and enhanced learning experiences. The study “Knowledge and Attitudes Toward the Utilization of Artificial Intelligence Tools among Nursing Students of University of Batangas”, aimed to determine the knowledge and attitudes toward AI tool utilization among nursing students of the University of Batangas. Specifically, it sought to assess the students’ awareness, understanding, and perception of AI applications in nursing education. The researchers utilized a quantitative-correlational design involving 101 nursing students from second to fourth year levels. A validated survey questionnaire was used to collect data, which were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rho correlation. Findings revealed that students possessed moderate to high levels of knowledge and demonstrated positive attitudes toward AI integration in nursing learning environments. A significant positive correlation was found between students’ knowledge and attitudes toward AI tool utilization, indicating that higher knowledge levels correspond to more favorable attitudes. These results suggest that AI awareness and literacy among nursing students can foster readiness for technological transformation in healthcare education.
