Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) represents a substantial global concern from both socioeconomic and scientific perspectives. Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the leading cause of infectious disease-related fatalities, poses a significant threat. Despite the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, tuberculosis (TB), one of the oldest infectious diseases, remains a global public concern. This descriptive correlational research assessed the 40 clients underdoing TB treatment in Tinga Labac, Batangas City in terms of their knowledge to pulmonary tuberculosis and compliance to Delivery of TB Services (DOTS). The researchers utilized the non-probability purposive sampling design, where the clients undergoing TB treatment in Tinga Labac, Batangas City were assessed. The results of the study shown that the occupation has significant correlation with the treatment compliance in Delivery of TB Services (DOTS). On the other hand, profile of the respondents shows no significant relationship between their knowledge to pulmonary tuberculosis. Almost out of the 40 respondents, 26 of them are knowledgeable regarding the TB. Furthermore, the finding revealed a positive correlation between the profile of the respondents specifically the occupation and treatment compliance to Delivery of TB Services (DOTS).
