Abstract
Universal Health Care (UHC) law, mandates the institutionalization of health services as an equitable and high-quality care for patients. Additionally, staff nurses' knowledge has a great impact on the benefits of the said law in terms of utilizing a plan of care. This research study was based on the coverage of universal health care such as essential health services, financial services, and treatment of rehabilitation. The purpose of this non-experimental, descriptive correlational research study is to find out that every Filipino citizen had an access to comprehensive health services without financial hardship and strengthen more through staff nurses' knowledge and awareness about the benefits of Universal Health Care (UHC) law. The researchers made use of Knowledge of staff nurses on Universal Health Coverage consisting of Likert Scale to utilize what variable will be measured in the study. The researchers used in the statistical techniques are Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis. The data results were analyzed and found out that there's no significant relationship between the knowledge of staff nurses on universal health coverage and their demographic data (Krusskal-Wallis: df=3). Therefore, the staff nurses particularly in Intensive Care Unit (CU) have adequate knowledge regarding the benefits of Universal Health Care (UHC) law. Additionally, the research findings also revealed that the knowledge of staff nurses in treatment of rehabilitation is the highest data whereas, the most dominant data that shows significant difference between demographic profile of the staff nurses and their knowledge in universal health coverage.
