Abstract
Knowledge, skills, and attitude are the essential facets of education that nursing students must acquire and develop to pave their way into being competent nurses. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 posed a great challenge in the quality of education that the nursing students receive due to the utilization of remote teaching of many institutions in the Philippines including the University of Batangas. This descriptive, non-experimental quantitative research studied the adaptation and self- discipline to remote teaching of 203 nursing students of all year levels at the University of Batangas. Simple random sampling was applied to gather adequate respondents from the level one to level four nursing students. After thorough analysis and interpretation of the collected data, it was revealed that the majority of the nursing students were capable of adapting and disciplining themselves to remote teaching. Through statistical analysis via t-test, the null hypothesis was also proved which stated that there was no significant relationship between sex and year level in the adaptation and self-discipline of nursing students to remote teaching. In accordance with the findings of the study, an action was proposed by the researchers to further consolidate the self-discipline of the nursing students per institution consideration.
