Abstract
Webinar is an event held virtually which is attended exclusively by an online audience. Due to the corona virus 19 (COVID-19) pandemic, this approach has been and is continuously being utilized by many educational systems. Many countries, including the Philippines, apply this kind of platform in delivering information and knowledge in various practices. This has affected all areas of learning including nursing education. The rapid expansion of Covid-19 has forced medical educators to consolidate distance learning environments and convert the majority of face-to-face didactic sessions to webinar sessions. This non-experimental descriptive study determined the relationship between the nursing student's profile and their learning experience as well as the relationship between the nursing student’s learning experience and effectiveness of webinar technology. The researchers utilized convenience sampling, which relies on data collection from population members who are available, and simple random selection, in which every member of the population has an equal chance of being selected. The study's findings revealed that knowledge development is the most important of the mentioned student learning demands, such as knowledge gained, development, and application. Furthermore, majority of the nursing students agreed that using webinars to promote student learning is beneficial. Moreover, the studies demonstrated that there is no significant association between nursing student profile and webinar learning experiences. However, there is a significant correlation between nursing students' learning experiences and the effectiveness of webinar technology. An action plan is being proposed by the researchers for institutions consideration in order to help improve nursing student’s confidence in skills and to effectively utilize webinar technology as an educational tool.
