| Abstract |
| This study aims to reduce inefficiencies in the provision of healthcare at school clinics. The study found several important issues, including insufficient staffing during periods of season illness, delayed administrative procedures, loss of medical data, and mistakes in prescription issuance. The primary goal is to enhance the experiences of students and teachers by streamlining clinic operations through an automated Medical Information System (MIS). To achieve this, the study utilized a Descriptive-Comparative design to compare perceptions of medical staff regarding manual and automated clinic processes. Using simple random sampling, 30 medical staff members from several Batangas City schools were chosen as respondents. The researchers used online survey questionnaires to collect data. These surveys were designed to collect detailed information about the respondents' experiences and perceptions of both manual and automated clinic processes. Furthermore, a Medical Information System (MIS) user interface (UI) was created by the researchers. This user interface was used as a prototype to show off the features and possible advantages of an automated system. In contrast to conventional manual procedures, it enabled respondents to engage with the system, offering input regarding its effectiveness, efficiency, and usability. This practical assessment was essential for determining whether the two methods differed significantly in terms of accuracy, accessibility, and convenience. The gathered data was then thoroughly examined using statistical techniques such weighted mean, composite mean, t-test, and ranking. According to the research findings, the automated clinic procedure differs significantly from the manual clinic process, especially in three crucial areas: accuracy, convenience, and accessibility. |
